The 2008 Fall Product Sale kicks off October 3rd with the eco-friendly theme…GO
GREEN! OBSERVE & CONSERVE. With a national push to be more environmentally
friendly, this year’s Fall Sale program encourages Girl Scouts to be conscientious consumers,
reduce, reuse and recycle. Participation in a Council-sponsored product sale
is a voluntary program of the Girl Scouts that teaches responsibility, money management,
goal setting, marketing, and communication skills.
Dakota Horizons Girl Scouts are selling nuts, candy and magazine subscriptions again
this year. Girls will take pre-paid magazine, nut and candy orders October 3-19,
2008 and will deliver product to customers in mid-November. See below for a preview
of the fall products and remember to support the Girl Scouts selling in your area this
fall.

Attention Girl Scout Volunteers! The 2008 Fall Product Sale kicks off October
3rd with the theme…..GO GREEN! OBSERVE & CONSERVE. This sale is an
excellent opportunity to earn money for your troop activities this year and help
the girls and your community become more environmentally friendly. Dakota
Horizons encourages all girls to get involved with this years fun and eco-friendly
theme.
Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons is selling nuts, candy and magazine subscriptions.
NEW THIS YEAR-the option to order magazines ONLINE! Troops earn $0.75
for every nut or candy item sold, $2 for every magazine subscription sold
and $2.50 for an address booklet completed by each girl in the troop.
PLUS girls will also earn individual recognition prizes and patches in the “GO
GREEN!” theme for reaching their goals.
Girls MUST be registered for the New Membership Year to participate in the Fall
Product Sale. The sale is for Daisy through Ambassador Girl Scouts and
REQUIRES a completed Product Sales Parent Permission Form to be on file
with their registration.
